Through a stunning array of objects, historical images and archival footage, On the Move highlights the complex and beautiful cultural forms – as well as the meaningful social relationships – created and maintained by pastoralists, who move with the herds that they tend.
In addition to objects from the permanent collections of the National Museum of Qatar and other Qatar Museums entities, the exhibition brings together works from the National Museum of Mongolia, the Musée du Quai Branly, and the Weltmuseum Vienna, among other institutions.
